FAQs

How long does it take to get credentialed?

It varies by insurance company. We’ve been able to get providers credentialed in as little as one day and we’ve seen it take other payers months. Every payer is different and it can change over time depending on their backlog of applications and their own internal staffing levels.

What does it cost?

We offer a wide range of services and set our fees to be competitive.  Please contact us to get a quotation consistent with your budget and your needs.

What happens if my application gets denied?

We’ll let you know why and what, if anything, can be done about it.  Some payers have closed networks.  If we know that in advance, we’ll tell you.  Otherwise, we can keep your application in a pending status and check back with that payer periodically so we know when the network opens up again.

What specialties do you credential?

The insurance credentialing process is virtually identical for all specialties, although it can vary by payer. We can manage your credentialing regardless of your specialty.

Does it matter what part of the country I’m in?

We can credential providers anywhere in the US.  Some larger payers use the exact same process across the entire country. Many payers publish the process on their websites. We have yet to have found a payer with whom we could not complete the credentialing process.

Can’t I just do this myself?

Absolutely. But understand that the process is time-consuming, arduous, and tedious. Most healthcare providers can do this on their own but choose not to. They recognize that their time is better spent on other things. Outsourcing your insurance credentialing makes a lot of sense for the same reasons why people outsource their taxes and their janitorial services.

Is there a minimum number of payers required?

Not at all.  We know that many insurance credentialing companies have a minimum of five or ten payers before they will consider contracting for services.  We understand that you may only need help with one or two. We have many clients that we only handle their Medicare and Medicaid credentialing, and some that we have assisted only with their DME enrollments.
